Transfer Policy
The policy on transfer is communicated to students at the earliest opportunity during registration and orientation and publicised in the student handbook and our website.
A student who wishes to seek a transfer from the course within FSTM should lodge his/her request not later than one week of the course commencement. Such application will be based on the individual merits of the case based on documentary evidence of the reason(s) furnished.
All transfer cases will have to be approved by the Academic Director. For an approved transfer request, the original student contract must be terminated and a new contract must be signed.
A fee payable of $500.00 for every transfer request of the course of study but remains as a student of FSTM has to be furnished. For any unconsumed course fee, student should be able to use subsequent in any future courses within FSTM in the case of, should the student decided to transfer the existing/current courses he/she has been enrolled.
The existing student contract of the student who wishes to transfer course within FSTM will be terminated and will be required to sign new student contract under the new course.
A student given approval for transfer of course with another institution is considered as having ceased studying with FSTM. Conditions for refund of any fee paid will be treated as under the Withdrawal without Cause.
FSTM informs the FPS provider, ICA and other relevant parties promptly of any change in student’s status that may affect the student’s pass issued. A reasonable time frame of 4 weeks is allotted for assessing and replying to any request for transfer.
TRANSFER PROCESS

Withdrawal Policy :
The policy on withdrawal is communicated to students at the earliest opportunity during registration and orientation and publicised in the student handbook and our website.
A student is entitled to immediately withdraw from the registered course by giving written notice to FSTM. This is subject to clause 9 of the Student contract if FSTM is in breach of any or its obligations or fails to perform its obligations under the following circumstances stated below.
- It fails, for any reason, to commence the Course on the Course Commencement Date;
- It terminates the Course, for any reason, prior to the Course Commencement Date;
- It fails, for any reason, to complete the Course by the Course Completion Date;
- It terminates the Course, for any reason, prior to Course Completion Date; or
- The Student’s Pass application is rejected by Immigration and Checkpoint Authority ( ICA).
A student who wishes to seek a withdrawal other those conditions above should lodge his/her request not later than one week of the course commencement. Such application will be based on the individual merits of the case based on documentary evidence of the reason(s) furnished.
All withdrawal cases will have to be approved by the Academic Director (AD). Counselling session will be held and AD will clearly explain the implication of the status of the student’s pass if international students withdraw from the school or are forced to withdraw from the school.
Refund of any fee paid will be determined by the SSA whether it is considered as Withdrawal with Course and Withdrawal without Cause. Such refunds should be given back to the students within 7 working days and FPS provider and ICA will be informed of any change in student’s pass issued.
Formal letter is issued to the student to reject the withdrawal application or to take effect the withdrawal. For students below the age of 18, FSTM will seek approval from the students’ parents’/guardians before approving the application.
The signed student contract is terminated and the student is no longer a student of FSTM. A reasonable time frame of 4 weeks is allotted for assessing and replying to any request for withdrawal.
